Hot Summer Nights
Well we are having another hot spell. The last few years we were lucky to have what you would call a summer.One thing for certain, living in Wisconsin, the heat will not last long.
July was a hot and DRY month. It seems that every Sunday of the weekend is hot and humid. One Sunday, Eric and I went to Road America for the Vintage Car races. Of course it was a hot humid summer day. It was our 1st car race for us. A good friend's father races triumphs. We were surprised how much we liked the races. We arrived in time for a race which was group 6. They are the Mustangs and souped up cars (I hope you keep in mind that I know very little about cars - he might not even race triumphs, but they are small and foreign). The only thing we saw was the warm up. As soon as the race started there was an "incident". As it turned out there was a 19 car pile up. Sick as I am, that made my day. I did not want to see anyone hurt and no one was, but you do look for the spin outs. The other race we enjoyed was the CanAm race. Anyhow Eric and I are no longer Car Race Virgins. Nascar is not really in our future. This race is through the woods and had different cars.
In August we are looking forward to the O'Connors making a visit. I am hoping that Mother Nature does not decide to open the skies with rain while they are here. We are also hosting a wine tasting. One of the Wineries that Eric is a member of is flying to Manitowoc. . Those 2 things are bookends for our month. I am sure the month of August will fly by as it always does.
For some of you the term "blog" is a new thing.The term blog stands for "web log". It was not until Jenna informed us that this would be the best way to see what her life is like in Chili. I was ignorant of the whole thing.Of course it has been in the news. Some man was fired from his job because of what he had in his blog. I doubt if you will find anything earth shattering in my blog.

haha...
well I am jealous that we get visits from the O'Connors and a winery and I miss them both...que suerte...what luck
Give regards to the O'Connors from anonymous. I am sure they will have a wonderful time. But think about it, New Yorkers in Wisconsin, could be a good title for a B horror movie. Or even a "he said.. she said.." as in the New Yorkers view of Wisconsin and the Wisconsiner's view of the New Yorkers, hmm.
I have decided to become a blog terrorist.
Tell Claire, she is a darling.
Tell Peter, he is whiz, as in wizard with the toys.
Tell Jack he is a hammer, as in jack hammer, a clever on at that.
ciao :-)
Sorry, Jack is a clever guy!
I bet nobody ever comes back and reads what someone has added. You all probable just read what Jenna says and the heck with the rest of us.
See still no other comments ;-}
Hope you all are having fun.
apparently we are really interesting...or people have too much time on their hands...maybe both
Nope just to much time on my hands or on the keys.
